Stephen Leskovec’s New Book ‘Life Skills’ is a Five-Class Course Curriculum That Contains Valuable Information Needed by Students to Survive in the Real World

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – October 21, 2022 – (Newswire.com)

Fulton Books author Stephen Leskovec, a registered nurse, a former college professor who now works as an independent consultant, has completed his most recent book “Life Skills”: a pedagogic volume developed and designed for educators. The curriculum is divided into five topics. Here, students are being taught with basic financial, interpersonal, and employment skills. It also includes lessons about basic personal and home care skills.

Leskovec shares, “As a father of three young adult children, a registered nurse, a former Boy Scout leader, and a former college professor, I noticed a serious lack of training offered to young adults in the skills needed to be able to live on their own. In the past, this training was offered in high school under the name of Home Economics, but these skills were no longer being taught in school. In these classes, students learned how to manage money, cook simple meals, do laundry, and do other skills needed to survive and succeed in the world. It also came to my attention that many young adults were not learning these skills at home.

“This project was undertaken with the needs of these young adults in mind. This resource is directed toward people who are in their late high school through college years. It is a structured means of conveying to students the information needed to survive and thrive on their own, outside of their parents’ homes.

“This curriculum is structured as a five-class course divided into thirty-two different modules, giving the educator versatility in its presentation. Each module can be taught as a stand-alone class or grouped together in whatever way works for the educator and their students. The topics covered include budgeting and other financial basics, cooking, doing basic home repairs, preparing to enter the workforce (including interviewing for a job), relating to and communicating with others, caring for their personal bodies and minds, and doing many others.”

Published by Fulton Books, Stephen Leskovec’s book is a highly insightful read that guides students in becoming functional adults.

Leskovec’s work is one of the most relevant publications out there.

Readers who wish to experience this potent work can purchase “Life Skills” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes & Noble.

Ret. Lt. William ‘Bill’ High’s, FDNY 1962-1980s, Book ‘My Real Black Fire’ Gives Honor to the Author’s Brothers Who Made the Supreme Sacrifice During His Time in the FDNY

LAS VEGAS – October 21, 2022 – (Newswire.com)

Fulton Books author Ret. Lt. William “Bill” High, FDNY 1962-1980, has completed his most recent book “My Real Black Fire”: a gripping and potent work that shares the author’s journey through the New York City Fire Department in the 1960s and 70s. The work exposes much of what he witnessed, including many heroic deeds, historic systematic cultural racism, ethnic favoritism, accepted glorified embellishments, and the indifference that prevailed in many black communities during the civil rights movement of that time.

Ret. Lt. William “Bill” High FDNY 1962-1980 writes, “Unknown to me at that time, my journey through the New York City Fire Department really began in the summer of 1945 when I was a student at St. Pius Catholic School on Liverpool Street in Jamaica Queens, New York. The school was 99 percent white, and I did not recognize the subtle little racist actions of the nuns. So I considered myself equal to my peers in all aspects, except athletics. I was a better athlete than my classmates. I could hit the ball further than my classmates during playtime in the schoolyard. My academic scores were as good as any of my classmates. Those early school years began to shape my attitude of equals that was reinforced at home. But it was obvious that my classmates had an economic advantage that I did not understand. One of my classmates was a little Irish boy named Francis. Francis and I often played marbles after school in a little dirt area in front of the school. One day, Francis said we can play marbles in front of his house. I said okay. Francis only lived a short distance around the corner on Princeton Street.”

Published by Fulton Books, Ret. Lt. William “Bill” High FDNY 1962-1980’s book allows readers to live through history through the eyes of the author as they follow along with his vivid descriptions and meaningful insights regarding the events he experienced firsthand.

Throughout his career as a firefighter, which the author viewed as his life’s purpose, he never allowed himself to consider one’s gender, color, or religion as a barrier to him stepping into harm’s deadly path in the preservation of a life unknown to him.

Readers who wish to experience this impactful work can purchase “My Real Black Fire” online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes & Noble.

Author Dal Mize’s new book ‘Church! It’s Time to Rumble!’ is a powerful work that encourages readers to work to implement Christian values into the American government

Author Dal Mize’s new book ‘Church! It’s Time to Rumble!’ is a powerful work that encourages readers to work to implement Christian values into the American governmentRecent release “Church! It’s Time to Rumble!” from Newman Springs Publishing author Dal Mize is written as a call to all conservative Americans to rise up and reinstate the nation to a Christian nation.

KERRVILLE, Texas – October 21, 2022 – (Newswire.com)

Dal Mize, an up-and-coming author who has written three books, has completed his new book “Church! It’s Time to Rumble!”: an engaging work that explains how there is a holy war going on in this nation that is calling everyone to socialize the government to an even bigger socialist government instead of localizing to a smaller government that is run by the people.

Author Dal Mize discusses the message behind his work, sharing, “It’s time to restore our country back to a nation of ‘in God we trust,” where we teach our children. once again. to recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and become one nation, indivisible under God, with liberty and justice for all.”

Mize writes, “Our constitution was written to ensure that when a person is elected to serve in the congress of the United States of America that he will pledge allegiance to one nation, under God, and he will also honor and serve the republic for which he has been elected. Somehow, through the years, there has developed a conflict between the church and state that has split our nation down the middle. It is hard to believe more than half of those serving in our government are trying to remove the ‘under God’ clause from our pledge and are petitioning to convert our capitalist government to a socialist government.”

Published by Newman Springs Publishing, Dal Mize’s compelling work urges readers to fight to make the United States a Christian nation.

Author Angela Glaser Bowers, Ph.D.’s New Audiobook ‘Overcoming’ Follows the Incredibly True Story of a Young Woman Who Found Healing Through Unconventional MeansSCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – October 21, 2022 – (Newswire.com)

Angela Glaser Bowers, PH.D., who has been in private practice as a licensed psychologist for over 30 years in Scottsdale, Arizona, and received advanced training in clinical hypnosis, has completed her new audiobook “Overcoming: The remarkable story of one woman’s triumph over trauma. How the unconventional approaches by her psychologist, and their bond, helped her reclaim her life and flourish”: a thought-provoking autobiographical tale that follows Bowers and one of her patients, Emma, as they learn to let go of conventional norms and learn about one another on an incredible journey to bring Emma healing and peace.

“This book tells the story of one of my most challenging clients. It is a description of her journey toward wellness and my experiences as her therapist in what was, at times, a harrowing roller-coaster ride. Decisions I made which were highly unusual and decisions she made that were both self-destructive and, at times, brilliant are chronicled in the story. I have come to the conclusion that we, as therapists, not only love our work but love many of our clients. I was inspired to write this book with the hope that it will be useful for people who have experienced similar moments of self-loathing and desperation. Who hasn’t had their dark nights of the soul? I also intend this book to be used by therapists in training, new and seasoned therapists, as well as teachers of therapy, to engender thoughtful reflection and discussion about our profession. I have included discussion questions for each chapter at the end of the book for therapists and for anyone interested in reflecting more about what occurred and about the therapeutic recommendations presented,” writes Bowers.

“The events described in the book were real, yet the names and most of the locations were changed to protect her privacy. I received permission from my client to write this story. Our work together changed us both in significant ways. I had kept all my notes, including everything that she had ever written to me throughout the course of therapy. I was greatly challenged. I took risks as a therapist. Many of these risks would probably leave other therapists scratching their heads or asking if I had lost my mind. However, I firmly believe that our work together saved her life. Had I not broken many of the rules and boundaries suggested to people in my profession, I am sure she would not be alive today. Join me on this expedition of transformation and overcoming.”
